We aim to always be a phone call away. However, we also know it isn’t always convenient to call. That’s why we’ve answered some FAQs here!
How do I find the best place to get my child’s dental work done?
A quick online search using your preferred internet browser will likely provide a lengthy list of potential providers in your area, and it’s only natural to wonder how to narrow down the results. It helps to take a few minutes to write down the most important criteria for you and your child(ren).
For instance, do you know that your kid is going to need specific services, like filling cavities or fixing a broken tooth with a dental crown? Are you seeking a provider who is in-network with your insurance policy? Establishing a few key priorities can help you find a dentist who is more likely to meet your family’s specific needs.
How much does a pediatric dental exam and cleaning cost in Castle Pines?
The American Dental Association (ADA) recommends taking your child to the dentist for their first visit around one year old, when their first tooth arrives, and again every six months after that. If it’s been a while since your little one had a routine visit, you might wonder how much you can expect to pay for standard services.
Most families can expect to pay about $167 for a dental checkup and cleaning in Castle Pines, but you might owe more or less based on your circumstances. For instance, if you carry dental insurance, your policy might cover up to 100% of your child’s appointment. However, if other issues need to be treated, you’ll also be responsible for covering the cost for any necessary procedures.
What level of education is required to become a pediatric dentist?
Are you curious what makes our dentists qualified to guide your little one’s still-developing smile? Although all dentists are incredibly accomplished, our team has undergone specialized training to be able to practice on children.
For example, all dentists must achieve either a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from one of over 70 institutions accredited by the ADA. Then, they can opt to focus on one of the 12 officially recognized specialty topics, such as pediatric dentistry.
Dr. Benzley earned his DDS from the University of Iowa before completing his pediatric dental specialty certificate at the Eastman Dental Center at the University of Rochester. He is also a current diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
Meanwhile, Dr. Sherman is a board-certified pediatric dentist who graduated with her DDS from The Ohio State University before receiving her Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry from the Medical University of South Carolina.
What do you do if you can’t afford a pediatric dentist?
If you’re concerned that your child’s dental services are out of your price range, we’ve got your back. Our Castle Pines pediatric dental office is in-network with most PPO dental plans and also proudly accepts Medicaid and Health First Colorado. These programs are simple but effective ways to reduce the out-of-pocket expenses for everything from routine care to more complex procedures.
However, we understand that not everyone carries dental insurance or participates in public health coverage. That’s why we also offer flexible financial plans that allow you to divide your total invoice into more manageable installments over a designated period.
